London Full Moon

This is a great night shot of a full moon coming up over the O2 Arena. Julie took this from our flat with her I-Phone. Now when the full moon is out here we have to worry about the Werewolves of London. They hide in all the dark places, and that's not the worst of it...Jack The Ripper is still sneaking around. We just always gotta be looking over our shoulder. That's the truth

Denmark Street

Denmark Street is a short narrow road in Central London best known for it's connections with British Pop music. Today I went out to buy guitar strings and found myself on this historic 17 th century street. The very old shops and studios are business as usual, with many customers even on this rainy London morning. Notable artist that recorded albums here in these basement studios were The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones. I chatted with a few friendly shop owners and loved the stories they told. I and was amazed at the countless tour buses on the street who were full of tourists all taking pictures of me, I think.

Blood or Blood Lite

I've been dealing with an allergic reaction to something for 10 days. After going to my National Health Clinic two times, I was scheduled for a blood test next week. With my hands swelled up quite badly, I had the cutters out to cut off my wedding ring, but finally got it off with olive oil. Now of course, without that ring I'll have all these lonely women chasing after me. DAM I hate that. Today I went out on my own and after going to 2 hospitals and a walk in clinic I got the test done. I picked a number and sat in a queue for almost 2 hours. The vampires finally got the blood lite from me and tomorrow I go to a dermatologist again on my own Insurance. In this country with a national health care system, you get very good care if you only need a prescription, or If you have a life threatening problem. Today I was caught right in the middle of having a cold, and having a heart attack. In this case you get on a bit of a waiting list so I was lucky to have private insurance to get quick medical attention. If they determine that I'm allergic to the cold weather, the insurance company might just send me to the Canary Islands for rehab,,,,,,First Class I'm sure!

London Boat Show

Yesterday I went to see the Worlds most exclusive and expensive yachts. The London Boat show was only a short train ride for me to the ExCel London. The ExCel is a 100 acre campus with two clear span buildings with 350,000 square feet of all kinds of boats up to 100 ft. long. I spent the day there seeing boats that I've never heard of and also prices I've never heard of. Out of all the great pictures I took, the best one wasn't a boat at all. I guess my aim was off as I missed the boat completely...Can you believe it!

Abbey Road

Do you memba the Beatles album, Abbey Road? You should as it was their last recorded album and it hit # 1, in the US and the UK in 1969 and 70. This was the picture on the album cover. I took a train ride here today, and survived the bloody cold, to see this famous crosswalk and the Abbey Road Studio. I did sign the wall in front of the studio so I would be on the official visitors database. The studio, where this album was recorded, is still in business but isn't open to the public. I got 2 lovely British ladies to take some pictures for me. They just love my sexy foreign accent.

Happy News Years from London

This is the show that we were able to watch from our flat last night. We were lucky to have a clear night and the fireworks show lasted about 10 minutes. This is a great picture of Big Ben saying it's new years. We wish everyone all the best as we start 2010.
