Sasheen is a beautiful mountain lake about 40 minutes north of Spokane Washington. I drove here to visit some wonderful friends whom I hadn't seen in several years. I had always been here to visit in the summer months, and didn't expect the lake to be frozen. This is a full time residence so they enjoy summer and winter sports here. I am standing on the lake on a 40 degree day. The ice must have been 8 to 12 inches thick and it was not unusual to see snowmobiles out on the ice. I still don't like the cold weather but this was a fun visit. I wonder if this means I can actually walk on water.
