Truning Bridge
I've pictured this bridge before in the blog. But I didn't know opened. As a barge pulled by a tug came towards the bridge, police stopped foot traffic. A switch was flipped and the 300 ft. bridge spun on the center post until fully opened. The barge was pulled through and it closed, all in 15 mintues. This is one for my engineering friend Randy, to figure out. I took this picture just outside of our flat in London.

Randy was really impressed with this bridge! Thanks for the great photos. Do they decorate London for Christmas like we do in the states? We have 2" of snow in Wenatchee today. Ugh!
Yes Trees and lites are all over but no snow! Oh darn. So Randy how does that bridge not fall over? I guess it's all balance
